Iris Jurassic Park is an award-winning tall bearded iris with upright canary-yellow standards, broad ruffled lavender-blue to purple falls, yellow veining, and blue-tipped yellow beards. Mature clumps reach about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide, creating an upright spring focal point above fans of blue-green leaves.

Grow this perennial in full sun or light partial shade and moist but well-drained soil. Keep the top of each rhizome exposed, avoid mulch over the crown, and water established plants mainly during prolonged dry periods. Divide crowded clumps after flowering in mid- to late summer, and remove finished flower stalks near the base.

The dramatic bicolored flowers attract butterflies and provide stems for cutting, while the plant is resistant to deer. Roots, sap, and seeds have low toxicity if eaten and may irritate skin; the species is also a problem for cats, dogs, and horses.
