Enjoy our 3rd annual peony tuber root sale for fall shipment across the USA! At Barnswallow Flowers, we currently rely on our Dutch farmer friends in Holland to cultivate the best peony tubers in the world while our crop matures for harvesting in the future! Working with the farmers in Holland gives us a unique opportunity to enjoy the end product, which is a fully mature peony tuber ready for planting.

 Our 2025 peony tuber sale consist of a variety of tubers in both herbaceous and ITOH (hybrid). Please refer to the peony tuber item description for confirmation.

*New for 2025, tubers will be sold in lots of 15 and 60 in most instances. Some peony products are more or less. To give the best affordability and selection flexibility to our customers, ordering in lots is a better price point for our customers versus ordering individually.

I'M A GARDENER, GIFTOR, PLANTING A HEDGE AND/OR PURCHASING WITH FRIENDS. DOES THIS WORK FOR ME?

Yes! All the above situations are perfect for ordering in larger lots. At Barnswallow, we also plant two tubers per hole, so ordering in larger lots is more than common. It's perfect for gifting, designing hedges and added in the landscape. If you are having issues finding a certain peony or lot, please reach out directly to barnswallowflowers@gmail.com directly.

CAN I BE REFUNDED PRIOR TO SHIPMENT FOR NO REASON?

No, we will not be issuing refunds for any reason prior to shipment. We work very hard to manage orders between us and the farmers in Holland. This is a pre-sale, ordering process. Customers trying to cancel their order after purchase and prior to shipment inhibits this process. Please respect the work of many people allowing this benefit from ordering online to growing to shipment to your doorstep.

SECURING TUBERS IN YOUR CART?

Putting a tuber order in your cart does not reserve it. Not until you successfully checkout is your order secured.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

Shipping will start in September 2025 for southern customers and October for northern customers. Please provide your email in check out to receive shipping updates before the first shipment will start.

CAN YOU SHIP MY TUBERS EARLY?

Under no circumstance will we ship before September. If that's a concern for you, please consider before purchase.

SHIPPING & HANDLING COSTS?

Shipping & Handling costs for peony tubers will be 25% of your order and that is already included in the price displayed for each item. exhibited on the website is calculated at check out. This is the same for our spring bulb sale.

SHIPPING CONFIRMATION?

It is critical you provide an email at check out in order to receive shipping confirmations. Once your item is shipped, you will receive emailed notice. Please be patient with the shipment process, as peony tubers are being sent directly from Holland.

DO YOU SHIP TO CANADA?

We are only able to ship within the United States at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

ORDER ADD-ONS & COMBINATIONS

Orders may not be combined or added to once the order is placed. If an additional order is needed, please start the process over. We do not offer the ability to combine orders.

DO YOU SUBSTITUTE ORDERS WHEN ITEMS OVERSELL OR HAVE CROP FAILURES?

In the event of a crop failure, your peony tuber root order can be substituted if you so choose. Barnswallow will reach out to you directly in this instance.

HOW TO KNOW YOUR ORDER WAS RECEIVED?

Our website is hosted through Shopify. Once you place an order, you will receive an automated email message from us via Shopify confirming your order. If this email message is not received, your order was not successfully placed. Before sending us an email, please check your spam and trash folders in the event your email service flagged our communication.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PACKAGE IS DELAYED?

Shipping efficiency is at the mercy of the shipping provider and Mother Nature. If your package is delayed and your product quality is impacted, please send us an email with a photo of the impacted product immediately. When we submit time sensitive claims on your behalf, we only have 24-hours post delivery to submit a strong claim with most carriers.

WHAT IF I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH MY TUBER ORDER? 

***Open your package immediately upon receiving and verify you are happy with the condition of the tubers. Tubers also need to breath, so having the box and bags open is critical, especially if it is above 60 degrees in your storage area. If you are satisfied, the tubers will be 100% your responsibility. Please be aware that we are not responsible for poor growing conditions or Mother Nature. If you feel you have received unsatisfactory tubers upon opening and inspecting the package, we will replace or refund. You must send an email with photos of the tubers to barnswallowflowers@gmail.com within 48 hours of receiving and we will make sure the situation is remedied. Please do not send Direct Messages on Social Media about your order). All refunds, with no exception, should be followed by pictures. We will only refund with pictures.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Tubers are available for shipping ONLY inside the United States of America.

CAN I SHIP TO A P.O. BOX?

No.

WHY IS YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS IMPORTANT?

Please ensure your shipping information is correct! In the past. If you address is invalid or incorrect, your package will be returned. Zip code, State, and House Number. We want to get your tubers to you quickly and securely. New shipping fees will apply if we have to reship your order due to an incorrect or incomplete address or using a PO Box number.

CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?

No, we will not be offering tuber order pick up this 2025 season.

DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE PRICES?

Our prices are relative to other USA peony tuber root market sales. Barnswallow provides information, flower care and customer service along your ordering journey, and that is accounted for in the overall price prior to adding the 25% shipment fee. Since the tubers are not passing through Barnswallow and being directly shipped, you benefit from this process. Thus reducing the overall price.

DO YOU GUARANTEE YOUR TUBERS?

The products we are selling are living, breathing organisms and need special care once received. If you have a question or concern or would like to submit a claim on your received product, that must be submitted within 48 hours of package arrival. After the first 48 hour window has passed, no refunds will be granted nor will claims be accepted. Claims regarding viral presence, blind eyes, broken necks, non-viable tubers, etc., will not be accepted after the first 48 hours post delivery. These issues are beyond our control after the packages have left.

IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG, CAN I GET A FREE REPLACEMENT NEXT SEASON?

In the past we did not offer replacements. However, we are now giving the option for substitutions in the event of crop failure. Again, if a claim is accepted and is granted approval within 48 hours of delivery, a refund will be granted to the payment method that was originally used through Shopify. For your financial security, we are not able to change or alter the refund payment method channel. Please contact your financial institution to research and plan.

ARE YOUR TUBERS INSPECTED?

YES! Tubers are inspected by the government upon entering the USA from Holland. If you need to see a certificate of inspection, please contact us directly at barnswallowflowers@gmail.com.

Barnswallow Flowers reserves the right to refuse service to any customer at any time. Please be aware that we are not responsible for poor growing conditions or Mother Nature based on your zone and where you decide to plant your peony tubers.
