Private Tours & You Picks

 

Owner, Meredith Nunnikhoven, will walk you through the journey of building Barnswallow Flowers, engage and educate guests regarding fresh cut flower farming in Iowa while the farm exhibits beautiful flowers and unique species to attendees. Particular subject matters like pollinator friendly or Iowa hardy species can be of focus for the general interests of the tour and you-pick experiences.

Join Farmer Meredith for a private, you-pick experience where guests get an introduction into farming flowers. Everyone will get to experience Barnswallow's curated floral collection, along with receiving a bucket (1.5-2 Gallon), red snippers and compostable vase to take home. Private You-Picks are available from July 15th-September 30th. $50/person. Available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8A-12P and 4P-8P. Minimum 5 people. Maximum 30 people. 34

YOU-PICK PUBLIC EVENTS - UPDATED JANUARY 2025! 
ONLY on Saturdays from 8A-12P during the month of October. (until frost). October will be a month of sharing and reflection of the 2025 flower season! Join the public on October Saturdays for a very special experience in the flower field. Guests will get a fully immersive experience similar to a flower farmer, from harvest to your home. The perks are  making memories with family and friends while collecting florals for a beautiful bouquet full of color and texture. You-pick coupons can be redeemed only during these public events in October. Snippers provided. Compostable vases are available to take home. Saturday dates will only be available before October frost. 

PRIVATE FARM TOURS - UPDATED JANUARY 2025!
All private tours are $30/person with a minimum of 10 people in attendance. Available in the months of September-October. Tours typically take one hour inclusive of Q&A. Bathroom facilities are available and we welcome all to visit. Tours do not include the you-pick experience. 

Please book well in advance to schedule between events at the farm. We typically plan our event calendar January-February, but can usually accommodate if at least two-three weeks in advance.
