Private Tours & You Picks

Owner, Meredith Nunnikhoven, will walk you through the journey of building Barnswallow Flowers, engage and educate guests regarding fresh cut flower farming in Iowa while the farm exhibits beautiful flowers and unique species to attendees. Particular subject matters like pollinator friendly or Iowa hardy species can be of focus for the general interests of the tour and you-pick experiences. 

YOU-PICK EVENTS

Pick your own flowers is now an experience offered by Barnswallow to connect community with agriculture. From July - September the farm will be open to the public for a very special experience in the flower field. Guests will get a fully immersive experience similar to a flower farmer, from harvest to your home. The perks making memories with family and friends while collecting florals for a beautiful bouquet full of color and texture.

Each year Meredith designs with different flowers and patterns to ignite the botanical senses. Walk in's are welcome, but we encourage people to pre-book so we can plan accordingly. Bathroom facilities are available and we welcome all to visit.

PRIVATE TOURS

All private tours are $25/person with a minimum of 10 people in attendance. Available in the months of July-September. Tours typically take one hour inclusive of Q&A. Bathroom facilities are available and we welcome all to visit.

Please book well in advance to schedule between events at the farm. We typically plan our event calendar January-February, but can usually accommodate if at least two-three weeks in advance.
