Iris sibirica Miss Apple brings unusual warm color to the Siberian iris group. Upright clumps of narrow green sword-like leaves reach about 61 to 76 cm tall and 46 to 61 cm wide. In late spring to early summer, lightly sweet-scented flowers open with rich violet-red to mulberry falls, warm golden-yellow signals and dark veins, while the upright standards soften the display with lavender-pink, red, and violet tones.

Plant it in full sun or partial shade in enriched, neutral to slightly acidic soil that stays moist but drains well. It performs especially well in perennial borders, rain gardens, and beside ponds or water features. Space plants about 40 cm apart, water regularly from spring through bloom, and divide mature clumps every four to five years in fall. Remove spent stalks after flowering and cut old foliage in fall or as fresh leaves emerge in spring. Iris is toxic if eaten, so keep the rhizomes away from pets.
