Broad blue-gray leaves rise in a distinctive upright clump, giving Hosta Krossa Regal a strong outline in shaded borders. Pale purple bell-shaped flowers appear on tall stems in midsummer, lifting the seasonal display above the foliage and attracting hummingbirds. The mature plant fills substantial space, so it works well as a background plant, a woodland accent, or a broad ground-covering group.
Grow this perennial in partial to full shade, with shelter from cold, dry winds. Fertile clay or loam that stays moist but drains freely supports the largest, best-shaped clumps.
