Open field trials of Kenora Lisa revealed an abundance of beautiful blooms atop sturdy stems. They don't like the extra humid heat of Iowa zone 5B in July/August. But once the cool evenings of September arrive, it starts throwing buds like crazy.
Don't be fooled by its formal decorative category. It's a workhorse dahlia. Dark green foliage accents coral pink petals that fade into lacerated sunsets at the tips. Sun exposure can fade out the salmon pink tones, giving great tonal variety selection for florists. Perfect for outdoor growing and loved by the crew at Barnswallow. If sunsets were only in pink, this would be the dahlia that matches.
Bloom size is 4-6 inches on 3-5 ft stems.
