Branching blue flower plumes rise above compact green mounds on Veronica Blue Bomb. The tightly bunched spikes open gradually from the base toward the tips, extending the summer color while unopened buds remain above fresh flowers.
The compact clumps fit flowering borders, cottage gardens, and patio containers. Flowering stems can be cut for arrangements, and the blooms attract butterflies.
Grow this perennial in full sun or partial shade and keep the soil evenly moist but well drained. Shear after the first bloom in midsummer to encourage fresh basal growth and another flush of flowers.
