This is a pre-sale for shipment the week of November 16th, 2026. If we have enough chestnut supply, we will again open pre-orders in early December for shipment the week of December 14th.
This Holiday season the Small Chestnutty Box is getting sprinkled with Thanksgiving and Christmas magic from the Barnswallow farm in Iowa. Brown paper, red bows and festive string will wrap 5 lbs of chestnuts, a chestnut cutter and cook book. The chestnut cutter is perfect for scoring your yummy nuts prior to cooking and child safe! We love this chestnut cookbook, which covers all things chestnuts and wonderful recipes! All shipped together in a large box with a special note from Farmer Meredith and sent through the post office. Perfect for gift giving and perfect for a large family gathering chestnut experience!
Our chestnuts are grown lovingly with chemical free, regenerative practices by Farmer Meredith and packaged on the farm at Barnswallow & Co. Perfect for quick microwave steaming, oven roasting, roasting over an open fire or adding to hearty curry and stew recipes. Chestnuts are a great source of gluten-free protein, so give them a try!
5lbs estimated at around 125-150 nuts give or take. Packages will be weighed prior to shipment. Nut size will vary from 1-1.5 inches.
Nuts will be shipped out as we continue to harvest. Orders will be filled in the order they are received.
CHESTNUTS ARE PERISHABLE AND NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED UPON DELIVERY.
Sold in 5 lb increments. Max online order: 9 count (45 lbs) in continental U.S.; 3 count for Hawaii, Alaska, and territories.
We cannot ship to the following states: California, Oregon and Washington. This is due to agricultural restrictions and regulations that effect all chestnut USA growers outside these states, despite their processing practices.
