Thalictrum delavayi Album is a tall upright clump-forming perennial in the Ranunculaceae family. It grows about 150 to 250 cm high and 10 to 50 cm wide, with pale Green compound leaves divided into many small Oblong and Obovate leaflets. The delicate foliage turns Yellow and Brown before seasonal dieback.

Large open Panicles rise on slender Green stems in July and August. Numerous small White flowers about 2 cm wide carry prominent Yellow stamens, creating a light cloud above the foliage without hiding the branching structure. Green Achenes may follow and mature to Brown.

Grow in partial shade in moist but well-drained, humus-rich Chalk, Clay, or Loam with Acid, Neutral, or Alkaline pH. Choose a sheltered position and provide discreet support where stems are exposed to wind. Maintain even soil moisture, especially while the plant establishes.

Propagate by sowing ripe seed or by dividing clumps in spring. Cut faded flower stems to ground level in late autumn or early winter if tidying is required. The plant is generally pest-free, although slugs and snails may mark young shoots, and powdery mildews may occur when soil becomes too dry. Wear gloves because foliage contact may irritate skin.
