Thalictrum Black Stockings near-black upright stems make the airy lavender-purple flowers appear to float. Tall transparent growth adds height without casting a heavy visual shadow. It matures to about 120 to 150 cm high and 45 to 60 cm wide, giving it a clear role in flowering borders. Its purple, pink flowers are expected from June, July, August.

Give Thalictrum Black Stockings full sun or partial shade; protect it from avoidable heat or drying wind while roots establish. Keep soil evenly moist while establishing, then water during extended dry periods without leaving roots waterlogged. Cut faded stems to the base in autumn or leave them briefly for structure. Watch for aphids, slugs, and snails may damage tender growth.
