Sanguisorba tenuifolia Strawberry Frost carries white flower spikes with a strawberry-pink flush on slim, dark stems above low pinnate green foliage. The upright clumps flower from summer into autumn and draw pollinators.
Grow it in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It suits cottage borders, prairie planting, wildflower meadows, and cut-flower gardens. Divide established clumps in spring or autumn, and cut old stems to the ground in late winter or early spring.
