Sanguisorba officinalis Pink Tanna forms a neat deciduous clump about 90 centimeters high and 50 centimeters wide. Finely toothed green leaflets create a textured base beneath slender stems carrying deep-pink ovoid spikes with paler pink stamens from July through September.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in moderately fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil that does not dry out in summer. Divide clumps in spring or autumn, cut back dead foliage in late winter, and remove spent flowerheads only when self-sowing is unwanted.
