Rudbeckia American Gold Rush is a naturally compact black-eyed Susan with narrow hairy green foliage and bright yellow-gold daisy-like flowers around dark brown cones. It flowers generously from midsummer into early autumn and offers improved resistance to Septoria leaf spot.
Grow in full sun and average, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Established clumps tolerate heat, humidity, dry soil, and some drought. Deadhead for added bloom or retain seed heads for birds. Divide every four to five years to maintain vigor.
