Phlox 'Larissa' is a compact herbaceous perennial grown for its soft pink flower clusters with a deeper pink eye. The green foliage forms a neat clump, and the upright stems carry color through summer. It suits borders, cottage-style planting, and cutting beds, and it also attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

One of its best features is its good resistance to powdery mildew, which helps it stay attractive through the season. It still grows best in open ground with decent air movement and soil that drains well. Spider mites and stem nematodes can appear when the plant is stressed, and leaf spot or crown rot may develop in wet ground.

Spent blooms can be removed to extend flowering and keep the plant looking fresh. Stems are best cut back after flowering ends or before spring growth begins. For propagation, division is the easiest method, while basal cuttings are also possible when fresh growth appears.
