Lilium Blacklist is an upright Asiatic lily with saturated deep burgundy flowers that appear nearly black in garden light. Upward-facing blooms display contrasting orange stamens above narrow green foliage.
Plant several bulbs together in borders or outdoor containers for a bold early-summer display. Strong stems also provide distinctive flowers for cutting and tolerate sheltered windy positions.
Choose full sun or partial shade and fertile soil that drains freely. Water regularly without waterlogging, remove spent flowers, and leave foliage until it dies down. The flowers are unscented. All parts are poisonous to cats.
