Bright yellow flower spires rise above the large green leaves of Ligularia stenocephala Little Rocket in midsummer. Its compact, clump-forming habit suits moist, partly shaded borders, woodland gardens, pond edges, and large containers.
Plant it in deep, reliably moist soil and protect it from hot midday sun and strong winds. Water regularly through the growing season. Divide established clumps in spring or after flowering, and cut down withered stems in winter or early spring.
