Broad pale pink flower heads rise above purple-tinged gray-green leaves on the upright stems of Hylotelephium Matrona. The flowers attract pollinating insects from summer into early fall, while the foliage keeps the clump distinct before and during bloom.
Plant it in full sun and well-drained neutral or alkaline soil. It suits borders, gravel gardens, courtyard beds, and containers, and tolerates drought once established. Eating the leaves in quantity may cause stomach upset.
