Hosta Lemon Snap forms a compact, upright clump that brightens shaded borders with yellow, moderately cupped leaves. Beet-red petioles run into the midribs, while very dark purple scapes carry pale purple tubular flowers in midsummer.
Plant it in partial to full shade in moist, well-drained soil. It also suits containers and low ground-cover plantings. Water regularly and remove spent flower stalks after bloom.
