Wide cream margins frame the blue-green, heart-shaped leaves of Hosta Earth Angel, forming a broad foliage mound for shady borders and woodland gardens. The margins open creamy yellow in spring and mature toward creamy white.
This clump-forming perennial reaches about 20 to 40 inches tall and 40 to 60 inches wide. Grow it in full or partial shade with fertile, moist but well-drained soil and shelter from cold, dry winds.
Pale lavender flowers rise above the foliage in midsummer and attract hummingbirds. Divide established clumps in early spring or late summer. This hosta is toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.
