Broad cream-edged leaves bring visible contrast to shaded borders and containers. Hosta Brim Cup forms a compact clump of cupped green foliage whose irregular margins fade toward white as the season advances, followed by upright stems of white bell-shaped flowers in summer.
Grow it in partial to full shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. It forms dense ground cover, fits beneath shrubs, and needs water during dry spells. Divide established clumps in spring or late summer. This plant is toxic if eaten by pets and horses; keep trimmings out of their reach.
