Hosta Blue Cadet forms a compact mound of blue-grey, slightly dimpled ovate leaves with pointed tips, topped in midsummer by erect racemes of lavender-pink funnel-shaped flowers.
Grow it in sheltered partial shade in fertile humus-rich clay or loam that remains moist but well drained. Divide established clumps in early spring or late summer and clear dead foliage after it dies back.
