Hemerocallis Rosy Returns is an accepted, registered dormant diploid daylily growing about 15 inches tall in compact clumps. Arching medium-green strap-shaped leaves surround sturdy branched scapes carrying fragrant single flowers. Rose-pink blooms have a deeper rose-purple eye band and a yellow throat, and each lasts one day. Sequential buds and rebloom extend flowering from May into October.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Divide established clumps in spring or fall, remove finished scapes, and clear dormant foliage as needed. Hemerocallis is extremely toxic to cats and can cause fatal kidney failure; dogs may have minor stomach upset without kidney failure.
