Small reddish-purple flowers with ruffled edges and yellow throats rise above the arching leaves of Hemerocallis Purple Doro. The miniature blooms open one at a time and repeat from late spring through summer. Low clumps reach about 1.5 to 2 feet tall and wide, making them useful for border edges, rock gardens, and broad ground-covering groups.

Grow this perennial in full sun or partial shade and moist but well-drained soil. Water deeply during dry spells, deadhead spent flowers, and remove finished scapes. Divide crowded clumps in fall or spring every three to four years. Daylilies are toxic to cats.
