Hemerocallis Naughty Red is a compact reblooming daylily with large, single dark-red flowers edged by a narrow ruffled band of golden yellow. Upright scapes rise above dense fans of arching green leaves in midsummer, with repeat flowers extending the display toward early fall.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It suits perennial borders, cottage gardens, containers, and bee and butterfly plantings. Divide established clumps in spring or fall and remove spent flowers for a tidy display. This plant is toxic to cats if eaten; keep clippings away from cats.
