Hemerocallis Happy Returns forms a compact clump of arching, blade-like leaves under ruffled lemon-yellow flowers. It grows about 14-16 inches tall and 18-23 inches wide, with repeat bloom through summer and into fall.
Use it to edge a walk, fill a sunny border, cover ground in a mass, or brighten a patio container. Full sun or partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil support the best display. Water regularly while the plant is flowering.
Remove spent flower stems after all buds finish, then clear old foliage in late fall. Divide established clumps in fall or early spring. ASPCA identifies daylilies as toxic to cats.
