Dahlia Tahiti Sunrise forms an upright clump of divided mid-green foliage topped by dramatic semi-cactus flowers. Each densely petalled head glows yellow at the base, passes through strong red, and ends in vivid purple-magenta tips, creating the cultivar's characteristic sunburst effect from midsummer until frost.
Grow in full sun on a sheltered site with fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Water freely during dry growing weather, deadhead regularly, and lift and store the tubers where winters are too cold for them to remain outdoors. Keep the plant away from pets because Dahlia species are toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.
