Dahlia Kelvin Floodlight is a vigorous upright tuberous perennial renowned for enormous fully double Yellow flowerheads. The American Dahlia Society classifies it as an AA Formal Decorative cultivar. Giant flowerheads approximately 25 to 30 cm across combine broad flat to slightly incurved ray florets in regular overlapping concentric layers, creating a full rounded profile with the central disk completely concealed.

Plants usually reach 90 to 120 cm and carry Opposite pinnately divided Green foliage on branching Green stems. Grow in full sun in fertile, humus-rich Clay, Loam, or Sand that remains Moist but Well Drained. Pinch young growth for branching, provide discreet support, maintain even moisture, and deadhead regularly.

Propagate by spring cuttings or tuber division. Where winter survival is uncertain, lift and store the tubers after autumn dieback. Monitor for aphids, leaf miners, Red spider mite, slugs, earwigs, capsid bugs, caterpillars, mildew, mould, tuber rot, and virus. Dahlia species are toxic to dogs, cats, and horses and may cause mild digestive signs or dermatitis.
