Dahlia Ferncliff Inspiration carries large, fully double informal decorative flowers in lavender, violet, soft pink, and white. Strong upright stems bring the abundant blooms to border plantings and cutting gardens from midsummer until frost. David Jack hybridized, grew, and named the cultivar before 1999; H.M. Weijers registered it in 2018.
Grow it in full sun in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water regularly after shoots emerge, feed during summer, support tall stems where necessary, and deadhead spent flowers. Lift and store the tubers after frost in colder regions.
