Dahlia Caribbean Fantasy produces large, fully double decorative flowerheads up to 15 cm across. White petals shade to yellow near the base and carry variable red streaks, so every bloom develops a different balance of colour above the mid-green foliage.
Grow it in full sun in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. In USDA zones 9-11 the tubers may overwinter with appropriate protection; elsewhere gardeners commonly lift them after frost and store them dry and frost-free until spring.
Water during dry spells, feed during active growth, stake before the stems become top-heavy, and deadhead regularly for flowers from midsummer until frost. The long stems suit borders, containers, and cutting gardens.
