*Farmer Meredith's 2 Cents: Buckeye Belle continues to be a farm favorite from the beginning of our peony investment journey. It was one of the first dark red peonies we invested in, and we have not regretted that decision. If harvested in the bud stage, you can preserve a darker cherry red color that really makes this peony enticing for customers.

Once planted, bare root peonies will take 2-3 years to create a large display of flowers. Each bare root tuber will include 3-5 eyes, which is where the plant will force flowering stems through the ground for the following year.
