Soft rose-pink flower spikes rise above fresh green foliage on Bistorta amplexicaulis Flamingo Feathers from midsummer into fall. Its upright, clump-forming habit brings vertical color to borders and broad ground-cover plantings.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in moist soil with good drainage. The mature clump reaches about 4 feet in flower and needs generous space. Bees visit the nectar-rich blooms, while established plants need little pruning beyond cutting stems back after flowering.
