Astilbe Brautschleier brings luminous white flower plumes to damp, lightly shaded garden spaces in early summer. Its airy, gently drooping panicles rise above glossy, divided green leaves, forming an upright clump that gives borders, woodland plantings, and waterside beds a fresh, graceful accent.
Plant it in rich soil that stays consistently moist, with protection from hot midday sun. It also performs in containers when watered regularly. The flower stems are excellent for cutting, while faded seed heads can remain standing for winter structure. Add organic matter after planting, divide established clumps in spring every few years, and cut old stems down before new growth begins.
