Amsonia Blue Ice forms a compact upright clump with narrow dark green leaves and terminal clusters of small dark lavender-blue, star-shaped flowers in late spring.
Grow it in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Its foliage turns bright yellow in autumn before the stems are cut back.
