Aconitum x cammarum 'Bicolor' is an upright, clump-forming deciduous perennial in the Ranunculaceae family. Glossy, deeply divided dark green leaves form the base, while tall stems carry widely branched spikes of hooded violet-blue and white flowers from July through October.
Grow it in partial shade in deep, cool, moisture-retentive soil. Full sun is also suitable when the soil is humus-rich and mulched to remain moist. It accepts moist, well-drained chalk, clay, loam, or sand across acidic, neutral, or alkaline conditions. Give afternoon shade in hot areas and do not let the soil dry out.
