Achillea Summerwine is the accepted Galaxy Hybrid yarrow cultivar derived from Achillea aegyptiaca var. taygetea and Achillea millefolium.
Rhizomatous upright-spreading clumps carry dark green fernlike foliage and loose flattened corymbs of white-eyed crimson to burgundy flower heads that age toward rose and buff pink.
Direct profiles place plants around 30-90 centimetres high and 30-60 centimetres wide, flowering from June through September across USDA zones 3-8.
Give full sun, lean freely drained soil, modest water, and good airflow; use its long-lasting heads for prairie borders, pollinator gardens, and fresh or dried cutting.
