Viflaim Christmas Star Painting Class
Заняття з декоративного розпису Віфлеємської різдвяної зірки
SATURDAYS
November 18th @ 6PM
December 9th @ 6PM
*Photograph includes several colorful examples that will be used for inspiration. The traditional Viflaim is 3 dimensional and made from wood and takes several weeks to make. Our version will be made from cardboard and 2 dimensional.
The word “Viflaim” represents the birthplace of the Messiah and the town of Bethlehem. The star is often used to celebrate коляда (Kolyada), which means the celebration of Christmas. On Christmas Day people travel from house to house carrying their viflaim stars while singing carols. This is to wish goodwill to neighbors, friends and family in their village. Watch the video below, it's so precious.
